References
[edit]The references sections needs work, but I don't want to tamper with it too much since I am fairly new to this. It would be ideal for all of the references to be part of the numbered system. Also, not really sure what the function of external links is. If anyone has a good understanding of how these sections work, this page would appreciate some tidying up there. :) Erica (talk) 03:59, 12 July 2013 (UTC)

Cedar Waxwings in Houston TX
[edit]Houston TX March 28, 2005 - Small flock of Cedar Waxwings have been here for two days. The cars are now parked on the street!!!!! They are a delight - very calm and very busy eating the flower buds from a tree that I wish I knew the name of. This is the first Cedar Waxwing(s) I've seen in my 30 something years in Texas. I must not have been in the right spot at the right time. Their "sreeeee" is a little ear piercing at times but it is usually only 1 or 2 who do so - very quiet flock - that is the reason the car had a new paint job - I didn't know the birds were there until I saw my car and looked up!!!!!
Merge "References" with "further readings"
[edit]Unless there is something distinct about the lit. in these two sections, the "References" and "further readings" should be merged. And it should not be called references unless they are citations used in the article.Fredwerner 22:34, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
Young Rejection
[edit]Is it true that sometimes the Cedar Waxwing rejects its young and kills them? Should this be added to the article? Swannie 18:16, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
rice bird
[edit]I removed the part in the intro that said the cedar waxwing is better known as a rice bird. I can't find a mention that "rice bird" is another name for waxwings, much less a more well-known name. Joyous! | Talk 01:45, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Key?
[edit]Hey, there's no key on the range map. What do yellow, green and blue mean? I mean, I can figure it out, but that's no excuse for omitting the key. -68.191.214.241 (talk) 22:19, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
- Click on the image. There's a legend. Yellow is summer-only range, green is year-round range, blue is winter-only range Jason Quinn (talk) 04:00, 17 August 2012 (UTC)

Recently promoted FP
[edit]This photo was recently promoted to Featured Picture. I was going to add it to the article, but I'm not sure the best way to do so, so I'll just leave it here and defer to others. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 19:57, 30 April 2022 (UTC)
