How aspects of Future Virtual reality
The most exciting aspects of Virtual Reality are that it can be networked to join multiple user immersion environments over long distances.
Moreover, VR imitate the natural environment using real life like stimuli for all the human senses.
The user can have substantial data control of the scene with VR.
In the present and future age, VR can be the best effective communication media.
VR is really only limited by the imagination of talented individuals.
VR is not yet sufficiently developed for economical use in work settings.
However, the technology is developing rapidly, and shows considerable potential.
Low-tech, low-cost VR could become available for use everyone and everywhere.
Interesting and potential area is in entertainment, especially, I was thinking that using VR as films and advertising.
An IMAX film shown in an OMNIMAX the theatre is an example of current development in this area.
But it lacks an interactive component; neither do they qualify as simulations, because as films.
They depict aspects of our normal, objective reality.
But if we apply it into CAVE, the result will completely changed.
Surround-screen, surround-sound, and the projection-based VR system called CAVE serves as a platform for a Virtual Reality Theatre.
At NCSA, Donna Cox used the CAVE program Virtual Director to create animation for the IMAX film Cosmic Voyage
.
In advertising, VR is very useful to show product functions.
User can be touch, and smell it in which is difference with present advertising.
It can be make to draw rising curve of consumer’s interest.
But we have barriers of lacking interactive technologies, and not using all the human senses.
We still could not transcend human’s imagination.
However, the technology is developing rapidly, and soon, VR overcome the limited.
