Page move
[edit]- Very strong support for move to an article title with a question mark after "Men". This page-move has been one of the ones haunting my dreams for months. I think about it constantly: will it ever be moved? Should it? Of course it should. Why hasn't it already? It's even given as an example of the ideal way an article should be named when "Q:", for example, is impossible. It has seized my brain like a fever. Let the madness finally end that I may find peace; please, for the love of god, move the article. -Silence 22:48, 7 January 2006 (UTC)
- Clarification of this proposal The actual title of the album is Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo!, but the article cannot reside there because Q: makes links to Wikiquote. So it is being proposed that the Q: and A: be spelled out as a compromise. —jiy (talk) 18:07, 8 January 2006 (UTC)
- Support Spelling out the words "question" and "answer" as opposed to eliminating them altogether seems like an appropriate compromise. -Dan40 16:37, 11 January 2006 (UTC)
- Support the renaming of this article strongly as well, this is a much better alternative to the present situation. Can't sleep, clown will eat me 18:51, 16 January 2006 (UTC)
- Support. I think I'd prefer just the letters (even without the colons), but anything would probably better than what it is now. Folkor 18:05, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
Johnny B. Goode
[edit]"'Come Back Jonee' incorporates the famous guitar lick from Chuck Berry's Johnny B. Goode..."
Pardon me, but am I the only person who missed this when I heard the song?
Er...
Page move idea
[edit]What about moving it to Q. Are We Not Men? A. We Are Devo! with periods instead of colons? --Jordan Elder talk 04:14, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
LP sides
[edit]Track listing should reflect album as originally issued (i.e., LP vinyl/cassette) per WP:ALBUM: "Albums originally released primarily on vinyl or cassette should similarly list the tracks of each side separately under sub-headings named "Side one" and "Side two". "Cloonmore (talk) 18:21, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
- You wouldn't believe how much flak I get when I do it the "correct" way (side one-side two) for certain albums made before 1987, even when I point people to that paragraph. The operative part is "should similarly list" rather than "should always, except under expressly-stated conditions, have listed" . No arguments from me. Fantailfan (talk) 01:17, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
Syntax? Grammar?
[edit]This article reads like crap. Cloonmore (talk) 06:12, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
- Well, there's always Wikipedia:Civility, but I've tried to clean it up. That list stuff in the middle is all very trivial and cites imdb, which needs to be cleaned up and inputted with more useful information. I'm not the best and writing, but I'm trying my best. If you see something you dislike about the article grammar or syntax wise, why not help clean it up? Cheers. Andrzejbanas (talk) 06:39, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
- There we go! Thanks for cleaning up the page! I think we should add information about themes and style of the music in the album before submitting it for a GA. Thanks Cloonmore! Andrzejbanas (talk) 19:23, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

DISPLAYTITLE to fix display title
[edit]Wikipedia now has Template:DISPLAYTITLE to fix titles like this. I'm not sure how to do it. Could someone who is confident enough fix it? -Taras (talk) 00:33, 11 October 2015 (UTC)
- For posterity, the reason this is not done is because the page titles are not equivalent: Warning: Display title "Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo!" was ignored since it is not equivalent to the page's actual title. — cBuckley (Talk • Contribs) 15:11, 8 January 2019 (UTC)
