"Embarrassed" is a song by American rapper and singer Don Toliver featuring fellow American rapper and singer Travis Scott. It was released through Cactus Jack and Atlantic Records as the second track from the deluxe edition of Toliver's third studio album, Love Sick, on February 28, 2023. Toliver and Scott wrote the song alongside Cash and Dougie F and with producers Wheezy and Dez Wright. On the same day as its release, Toliver performed at Irving Plaza in New York City, in which he brought Scott out as a special guest to perform the song for the first time, along with some other songs.[1]

Composition and critical reception

[edit]

Over a psychedelic instrumental, Toliver and Scott individually sing on the chorus: "New checks on me, they clear / Got her naked on the terrace / Got my diamonds on in Paris / Got my diamonds on, embarrassed".[2] The two artists reference their luxurious items like diamonds and sexual encounters.[3] Maximilian Diehl of Baylor Lariat felt that "this song is a genuine disappointment to me", saying that "maybe it's less 'bad' than it is underwhelming for having the continually dynamic 'Astroworld' star make an appearance".[4]
