Untitled
[edit]This misplaced self-promotion is precious: "Raja is not only an indian term, but it is also an upcoming band, primarily hip hop and rap. This band was formed in 2009 and will be mainstream in a few years. Raja is a band that was inspired by today's rappers." But I don't know whether it should be deleted or moved under a heading of "In Popular Culture"... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.93.201.147 (talk) 05:13, 16 October 2010 (UTC)
Slovenian Raja (Raya)
[edit]Can you please add the Slovene Raya to the etymology of the IE name? Raya in Slovene (as part of Slavic languages) means "servants - people". Ne-Raya means "not servants- people" or "elites". So Araya or Arian basically means "not from the ordinary people" if we transliterate this word through Slovene and Sanskrit (a as opposite or "not"). From Aryan also derives Orion; which can be transliterated through Agrahayana in Prakrit which means Mrigashiras(Orion) in Sanskrit(check Tilak's book: Arctic home in the Vedas) which can be also transliterated through Slavic as Ogriana or "warm (shining)" place.
