Tone
[edit]Please update ASAP, this is getting out of hand. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.7.157.245 (talk) 10:52, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
- I've done some major changes to the structure and tone, ie: Removed overview (repetition of introduction), removed 'more about achivements' and compressed into 'co curricular activities' table, removed 'emphasis on bilingualism' and 'morning assembly' , (irrelevant and not necessary), shortened 'uniform' and inserted into 'culture' header, including 'camps', 'SLB','CHMA' and 'school vision'. School facilities part is edited for tone bias and is divided into 2 subheaders: sporting facilities and IT facilities. Some references added.
- Appears to have been cleaned up since tagged. I have removed the tone and neutrality tags for the moment; some problems can be avoided by referencing, particularly to third-party sources. --Jh12 (talk) 21:37, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
- Yes I am currently refreshing this, some information is inaccurate. LINYU1742T (talk) 00:46, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
- emphasis on bilingualism is considered one of the core values of the school if you look at the school vision. Should be in article. Chessnut265 (talk) 10:31, 10 March 2023 (UTC)
Move request
[edit]I feel it's not necessary to move the page to Catholic High School (Bishan, Singapore), to avoid confusion. Catholic High School, Singapore is its full name and there is only one such school in Singapore.
Fair use rationale for Image:Catholic high school crest.jpg
[edit]Image:Catholic high school crest.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Hair and attire checks
[edit]"White socks may not cover the ankle" -- Are we sure about that? Shouldn't it be "MUST cover the ankle"? Alarics (talk) 13:49, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
- Since nobody has clarified this, I changing it to say simply that white socks must be worn. Alarics (talk) 17:43, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

Multiple issues
[edit]This page is horrendous, no offense to contributors. I have removed chunks of promotional stuff within the article. I'd be happy to give this page a major revamp, considering how much cleanup is in need. Bonkers The Clown (Nonsensical Babble) 08:34, 29 December 2012 (UTC)
- It is getting better now... Kudos to Kionratz. However, you could perhaps try to cite the notable alumni and other stuff like the music awards and facilities sections? Cheers, Bonkers The Clown (Nonsensical Babble) 08:51, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for the complement. I have removed the tags related to tone and advertisement, as well as the one about primary sources (since the article now includes secondary sources). Any objections to that? Unfortunately, I am unable to cite the music awards and facilities section since I really cannot find any present sources about them. Perhaps when I am free, I will drop by the National Library to look through their newspaper archives. Happy editing!--Lionratz (talk) 13:24, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
- You're welcome, whether you mean complement or compliment. Understand, but there's no deadline. Take your time. Cheers! Bonkers The Clown (Nonsensical Babble) 07:33, 3 January 2013 (UTC)

Notability
[edit]Could anybody explain how this school meets the notability criteria?Eog1916 (talk) 13:56, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
- The consensus (discussed many times in the past) is that all secondary schools are deemed to be notable. Even if that were not the case, CHS is one of the best-known schools in Singapore. On top of that, the present Prime Minister attended it. -- Alarics (talk) 17:32, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
