Purple text not always purple?
[edit]In my copy of the book, the text that is supposed to be purple according to this article is instead bright yellow, a very illegible shade as well. This is strange as the "A Note On This Edition" on the copyright page also says that line appears in purple. I wonder if this is a misprint or something as this strikes me as odd... - Not so much a misprint, but rather the printer running out of magenta in the CMYK printing process, by the sounds of it.
- I'd say you should just take it back for a good copy, or keep it if you think it has a collector's value.
- It's probably not worth mentioning in this article unless this happens to be a widely publicised issue. EditorInTheRye (talk) 09:15, 17 December 2023 (UTC)
- My book also has those sections in hard-to-see yellow. I have the second edition full-color remaster.
- Perhaps this was intentional, or something added later on, or maybe this is something characteristic of these newer versions that wasn't noticed by many. Iewnbinvis (talk) 02:02, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
