The monument dates from 1974 at which point, due to polices of the Soviet controlled communist government it had become possible to have monuments to those who fought in the Warsaw Uprising and to mention that they were insurgents, but it was still not possible to say that most of those insurgents were members of the Home Army (Armia Krajowa). |
