THE OCTOBER FIFTH ASSOCIATION, based in N.Ireland, a network of 1968 civil rights veterans and supporters, has launched a campaign to clear the name of Capt. James J. Kelly, cleared at the outcome of the Arms Trial. It is headed up by an author and historian who was a co-founder of the civil rights association in the Six Counties in 1967. The Captain's widow, unknown to the campaigners, has written to the group to express her thanks. A web site is currently [Feb. 2004] being constructed. Futher details can be had from oct5th_vets68@hotmail.com and there have been a number of postings on the Irish Anti-Partition League's forum, an independent grouping, which can be contacted via iapl_newsrooms32@hotmail.com. Their forum is known as STORMONT-WATCH, and is obtained via www.voy.com/70381/ The League's website was created a few years ago and is obtained via www.ia-pl.org There is also a great deal of Irish-relation information available on that web-site.
A photo of Capt. James J. Kelly can also be obtained from any of these hotmail addresses. AN INTERNATIONAL PETITION has been drafted and will be available as a pivotal feature on that Justice Campaign site.
