Copyvio
[edit]IANAL, but I strongly disagree that this article is a copyright violation. The man's (self-reported) credentials are facts, which cannot be copyrighted. The person who created the article seems to have intentionally changed the phrasing, to avoid using the same presentation of the facts. Then, as would be expected, new material was added. I imagine User:ErikNY was very proud of himself for finding the similarity to Puckette's "biographical note" (which was linked from the article, hence easy to find!), but wiping the article is, in my opinion, ridiculous and unwarranted. -Rjyanco 22:14, 25 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- I'd suspect he'd copyleft the material (if it isn't already), but short articles are easy enough, so rewritten, now. Mindspillage (spill yours?) 04:08, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)
some factual errors
[edit](I'm Miller Puckette - as I understand it, it's allowable to comment on articles for which one has a COI.) The line about CRCA is outdated - CRCA was disestablished in 2012. I'm retired now. Also, I didn't write the piece Pluton - that is by Philippe Manoury. If anyone wants to update this article you're welcome to add a bit of good news: I've won the 2023 Silver Lion award of the Biennale Musica. 86.74.164.60 (talk) 08:22, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
