Wikipedia:Entertainment Collaboration of the week/Removed

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This page contains nominations from the main Entertainment Collaboration of the week page which have been removed due to lack of votes or because they're unsuitable nominations. If no reason is given for the removal of a nominated article, assume that there was not a sufficient amount of votes for it to proceed. Successful nominations are listed at the history page.

  • A cornerstone in MTV. It deserves more than a few sentences. Tommy T 04:53, 6 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • I don't know there's much more that could be said about TRL than what's there other than listing more of the VJ's. And is Carson Daly still considered the host? It's been ages since I've seen him there. PedanticallySpeaking 16:35, Oct 12, 2004 (UTC)

  • A TV show that had world-wide success, even during reruns, should deserve an article in wikipedia. The show was partly responsible for the renewed interest in detective shows with young audiences. It also contributed to the career of young Canadian actors like Brendan Fletcher, Blair Slater and Meredith Henderson who all went on to work in the business. • Current. Popular. Screening in multiple countries. Absolutely dismal stub. Ambi 07:06, 10 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • The fact that it's current would make this easy for people to contribute to. [[User:Aranel|Aranel ("Sarah")]]

Comments:

  • Long-running. Internationally popular. Not a dire stub as such, but still overly short, with a lot of room to expand. Ambi 07:06, 10 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Somebody needs to give one of these a second vote. This is the only one I've really ever had a passing fascination with (that violin chick was hot)--ZayZayEM 09:33, 10 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • I added a couple facts to this, such as what city it was set in (a glaring omission). While it never topped the Nielsens, it was a critical favorite and had a devoted following, we certainly could afford it more lineage. (And the gal with the violin, Lacey Chabert, was hot even if she was helium-voiced.) PedanticallySpeaking 16:33, Oct 12, 2004 (UTC)

Comments:

  • Walker, Texas Ranger is perhaps the most influential television drama of the 20th century, yet it's wikipedia article still needs a lot of work. The public needs to be informed on the subject of this show and Chuck Norris needs to be compensated more for his role in this monumental show.
  • almost as good as MacGyver.
