Image tag

[edit]

Hi! Thanks for uploading the following image:

I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status?

You can use {{gfdl}} if you wish to release your own work under the GNU Free Documentation License, {{PD-self}} if you wish to release your own work to the public domain, {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use of someone else's work, and so on. Click here for a list of the various tags.

If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know at my talk page where you got the image from, and I'll tag it for you. Thanks so much. Denni 03:47, 2004 Dec 16 (UTC)

P.S. You can help tag other images at Wikipedia:Untagged_Images. Thanks again.

Hi! I hope you enjoy adding Wikipedia. You have recently added external links to your essays to a number of WP articles. Please make sure you understand WP:EL, the policy on external links, and in particular that Wikipedia is not a web directory.

As WP:EL is quite clear on the point that linking to your own work is "normally to be avoided", I'll take them out for now. If you feel strongly that an external link should go back in, please consider suggesting so on the article's talk page, and reaching consensus on it.

Thanks, and happy editing RandomP 16:07, 25 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You have been accused of sockpuppetry. Please refer to Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Finsj for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with notes for the suspect before editing the evidence page. RandomP 15:23, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Fabian von Schlabrendorff.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Fabian von Schlabrendorff.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk 03:13, 20 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
