Wikipedia:Categories for deletion/Canada-place stubs
Category:Canada-place stubs was listed for deletion on January 27, 2005. The associated template was listed for deletion as well but finally resolved. There were no objections to the rename. A keep vote was recorded well after the 7 day period and only after work had begun on the rename. RedWolf 04:11, Feb 12, 2005 (UTC)
All other geography stub subcategories (bar one - see below) are in the form Foo geography stubs. This would require just a tweak of a template to make it do the same. Three reasons: 1) for consistency; 2) because not all the geography stubs are places (they include things like weather patterns, ocean currents, and earthquake fault-lines); 3) as far as I know, there is no such noun or adjective as "Canada-place". - This should probably wait until {{Canada-place-stub}} template on Templates for deletion has been resolved as it is this template that is putting articles into this category. RedWolf 00:22, Jan 28, 2005 (UTC)
- Although it's still not officially resolved, Template:Canada-place-stub now redirects to Template:Canada-geo-stub. In any case, although they're connected, either name of stub template could lead to either name of category. Grutness|hello? 00:29, 28 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- Template issue has been resolved. I have created Category:Canada geography stubs and updated the Template:Canada-geo-stub. Changing the category in a template does not automatically move the articles using the template. I will be using my bot to move them using the "update-no-change" process which doesn't create a new article revision but does update the category links. RedWolf 02:13, Feb 12, 2005 (UTC)
- My vote is to keep the current category as-is. Spinboy 02:25, 12 Feb 2005 (UTC)
