Welcome to Wikipedia! - MattTM 05:03, 26 Jul 2004 (UTC)
Sorry, deletion of Hawk-headed Parrot was unintentional, but it is on the list under its other name of Red-fan Parrot. If an article gets written, one of these will need to redirect to the other. jimfbleak 05:24, 31 Jul 2004 (UTC)
- The other thing I should have said is that lists for animals and plants are usually based on relationships, rather than alphabetically, which is why I initially deleted the alphabetical list and restored the taxonomic list. However, I realised that for a few very large groups, such as parrots, hummingbirds and doves, it actually makes life easier to have access to the alternative listing, so I restored it as a linked page (not on the main article to avoid another deletion of the taxolist). jimfbleak 05:43, 31 Jul 2004 (UTC)
moved image
[edit]hey. I know this is really late, but I saw your message on Merovingian's talk page regarding [1], and I noticed it was never moved. I've done it for you. In the future, you can just re-upload the file under a different name and tag the old one as a speedy deletion candidate. See ya around! -Frazzydee|✍ 22:04, 21 Jan 2005 (UTC)

MTNBox template
[edit]Thanks for sorting out the template, I don't deal with template editing a great deal so I was having a little difficulty tracking down the template and by the time I'd got there you'd already sorted it.--Sully 18:22, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
Image:Submersed Band.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Submersed Band.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Leon Sword 02:00, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Flaw Endangered Species.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Flaw Endangered Species.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 06:46, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Lo-Pro - Lo-Pro (album).jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Lo-Pro - Lo-Pro (album).jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. JaGatalk 22:14, 7 December 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Submersed
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Submersed requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 21:23, 25 April 2014 (UTC)
