[edit]This is a split off from the article Head of government, where the parliamentarism-history didn't really fit in (according to my humble opinion). -- Ruhrjung 10:08 May 4, 2003 (UTC)
The following table is removed from the page. I question the meaning of "fully parliamentary system", and the usefulness of the list:
Fully parliamentary systems exist in among other states;
- Australia
- Austria
- Belgium
- Canada
- Denmark
- Germany
- India
- Republic of Ireland
- Italy
- Luxembourg
- The Netherlands
- New Zealand
- Norway (from 1884)
- Portugal
- Spain
- United Kingdom
Many states in Africa, having started off with parliamentary systems (eg. Tanganyika, Zimbabwe) opted for presidential systems, arguing that 'dominant presidential leaders' more accurately match their native political culture than western-style parliamentary systems.

The article should mention the city of León, Spain. A well documented first parliament in Europe León, Spain#First_democratic_Parliament_in_1188
