The result of the debate was - merge
- -- also consider PROUT for deletion
This is the same man as Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar. "P.R. Sarkar" wins the googlefight, so it would seem best to use his secular name for the article title. Also, there are some POV issues, especially in the Shrii Shrii Anandamurti article. Once all of the NPOV and un-notable stuff is trimmed out, I think PROUT would fit well into the same article, and so the seperate article could be deleted. -- WOT 01:58, 2 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Merge and redirect to Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar. This is an alias. Needs some serious NPOVification too. — Gwalla | Talk 03:31, 2 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Merge adn redirect seems more appropriate. Rossami 04:00, 2 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Comment, Shrii Shrii is a title, IIRC. Which makes the article title incorrect anyways. -Vina 03:12, 3 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Merge and redirect. The spiritual name issue goes back to hindu/yoga tradition, where it is considered that when one renouces his private life and property and takes initiation into spiritual tradition, one enters in new sphere of life and one is considered having new personality. Thus the naming system. These articles can be merged. For instance http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paramahansa_Yogananda can be used as an example. Regarding PROUT article - it should not be deleted. Prout is a complete socio-economical theory such as capitalism, socialism or communism. There are very few complete socio-economic theories in excistance. The article is in need of fundamental re-wrote and expansion.--Arjuna 11:21, 3 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Comment: On PROUT -- whether or not it is complete, is it notable outside the sphere of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar? Further, the five "core principles" listed in the article don't suggest completeness. To "maximize utility" would be the goal of most economic systems, and the implementation is simply "to vary"? -- WOT 14:56, 3 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Merge/Redirect. Clean up too. --Improv 16:43, 4 Oct 2004 (UTC)
