Some sources put an accent on the e in Cafe and some don't. I'm looking for a photo.

Split this Up

[edit]

I think this should be two categories, one for the collection of people that we know of as Cafe Society, and a second one for the New York business. -- k72ndst 11:36, 21 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

"bright young things", how cute!!

You have neglected to include all the current cabaret happenings, such as the annual cabaret convention held in New York in October at Jazz at Lincoln Center, and the many cabaret performers around the country from Barbara Cook to KT Sullivan to Andrea Marcovicci, and all the men and women appearing at clubs like the Carlyle etc. Bobby Short was the ultimate cabaret singer, and the songs of Cole Porter, Berlin, Gershwin, whether or not they were in Broadway shows, are typical cabaret songs. They tell a story, they require an actor/singer to do it well. Cabaret lives!

First integrated nightclub?

[edit]

Is it correct to say that this was the United States's first integrated nightclub? Badagnani 06:31, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
