Talk:Postmenopausal osteoporosis
Is there any need to have this page AND an 'osteoporosis' page? Is there any difference between postmenopausal osteoporosis and osteoporosis? The information doesn't appear to be very different on the two pages. KJ
It is my understanding that postmenopausal osteoporosis is caused, or at least made more severe, by hormonal changes. The content is similar at this point but could and should be expanded later. Their are specific issues for postmenopausal women that could be covered here and more general information on osteoporosis should be covered on that page. --maveric149, Thursday, April 18, 2002
Well, it's over two years later, and there is still the same amount of information here, that can be summarized as "Postmenopausal osteoporosis is osteoporosis that occurs after menopause, largely driven by hormonal changes." Any reason not to redirect this to osteoporosis and add a single sentence covering that info to that article? It can always be split out again later if anyone has more information to add to warrant it. --Delirium 07:55, Jun 8, 2004 (UTC)
