Hello and welcome to the Wikipedia!
Did you write "As long as he refrains from editing the article on Scunthorpe (the name of which should definately be changed to avoid causing offense) we should be ok.207.189.98.44 23:09, 13 Nov 2003 (UTC)", by the way? If so, you were logged out while posting. Κσυπ Cyp 15:55, 17 Nov 2003 (UTC)
Hello.
Regards Santorum, I understand that your chief concern is the potential bias in deleting the redirect to Rick Santorum. I hope I can allay your fears here.
Firstly, note that many famous people in fact do not have redirects from their surnames. For example, Eduard Shevardnadze is currently on the front page, and has no redirect from Shevardnadze. Hence Rick Santorum will not be alone in his lack of a redirect.
Secondly, note that historically we have decided that neutrality, in and of itself, does not preclude the deletion of redirects that a number of people find offensive, where that redirect is not considered useful in the ways outlined at wikipedia:redirect. Thus deletion is in accordance with current policy and precedent, which applies equally to all potentially offensive redirects. To argue that this policy be changed, please see Wikipedia talk:Deletion policy/redirects.
Thanks for your time. Martin 00:10, 28 Nov 2003 (UTC)
Article Licensing
[edit]Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:
- Multi-Licensing FAQ - Lots of questions answered
- Multi-Licensing Guide
- Free the Rambot Articles Project
To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:
- Option 1
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
OR
- Option 2
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)
Clean up Talk:Greater Albania
[edit]Hello,
There's a vote pending on Greater Albania, and it would be nice if potential voters could find the discussion. You and Dori have made the bulk of edits to the talk page, and it's a little hard to tell where one topic begins and the other ends; could one or both of you possibly tidy it up a bit? For the moment I may put all previous discussion under one big "General Discussion" header. Cheers, Rschmertz 22:36, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
AfD nomination of List of conspiracy theories
[edit]List of conspiracy theories, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that List of conspiracy theories satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of conspiracy theories and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of List of conspiracy theories during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Ridernyc 04:32, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
I believe you asked about changelings.

Tony Bliar listed at Redirects for discussion
[edit]An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Tony Bliar. Since you had some involvement with the Tony Bliar redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so). Mkativerata (talk) 19:23, 25 November 2011 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
