Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you ever need editing help, see Wikipedia:How to edit a page. You can also see how to format pages at Wikipedia:Manual of Style. You can practise this in Dundee FC, an non-wiki-formated article! If you need pointers on how we title pages visit Wikipedia:Naming conventions. If you have any other questions about the project then check out Wikipedia:Help or post a question in my talk page. Arabs frae Dundee

[edit]

Hi DDuck, how r u doing? Hope you don't mind but I added some stuff to the Dundee United FC article. There was actually already a Dundee United article but I have merged them at your article which is the better name for such a topic.

Hope you enjoy adding to Wikipedia!

PS Are you an Arab yersel? Big Jim Fae Scotland

I'm beginning to get the hang of this thing. I'm amazed how sometimes I finish working on something and just minutes later someone is adding bits, moving pages, and wikifying away. To answer your question, I no football fan, but everything to do with my home town, Dundee, holds some significance for me. :) - Iain

Bonnie Dundee

[edit]

Hi again Iain, how r u? Just to let you know you will have loads of punters on at you moaning about yer Bonnie Dundee article cos it is out of context. I think you should add a bit about it before reproducing the text. Just a suggestion mate. :o) Big Jim

Hi Big man, I'm fine. I've added a short introduction, with links to all over. That should keep a'body happy. Dduck 20:40, 10 Nov 2003 (UTC)

Hi, it seems some of the information you contributed was listed at Wikipedia:Request for immediate removal of copyright violation and has since been removed. Please note that it is not permitted to copy from other sites unless you have permission to use that material under the terms of the GFDL. See Copyrights for further information. Well it wasn't technically a copyright violation, but it was borderline plagiarism. I rewrote the material and added a reference to each article so that it can no longer be considered to be plagiarism. Dduck, please be more careful in the future. :) --mav 03:39, 25 Jan 2004 (UTC)

File source problem with File:Tayrailbridge.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Tayrailbridge.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 05:17, 23 September 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Magog the Ogre (talk) 05:17, 23 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
