Hi, thanks for getting in touch about DEUD. There may not be a specific policy that states exactly that, but in general, I suspect most people on Votes for Deletion (VfD) will agree that articles about most unpublished works are not suitable for Wikipedia. I'd suggest reading Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not to learn more - note that pages that can be interpreted as self-promotion are almost always frowned upon. I don't know anything about Wikibooks, so I can't tell you whether it would fit there; I suspect there are similar policy pages there that would be worth reading.
I recognize that getting your new page listed on Votes for Deletion is a rough introduction to Wikipedia. Please don't take it as a personal attack on you. Based on DEUD, you write very well, and I hope you'll choose to stick around. CDC (talk) 22:05, 31 Mar 2005 (UTC)
