Touring info not appropriate
[edit]Firstly, since User:Poccil never really said what they saw as the POV problem, and I cleaned it up a bit and the tag's been on there forever, I decided to be WP:BOLD and remove the POVcheck template.
Secondly, the various anonymous editors who have been making a lot of edits to this page seem to have been doing a good job. I'm impressed, guys! Now why not sign up for an account? Serious! :)
The only thing is, keep an eye on the Wikipedia principle of Wikipedia:Neutral point of view. Obvious fan-gushing WILL be removed. Also keen an eye on Wikipedia:No original research and Wikipedia:Verifiability. Have sources, use them!
In line with NPOV, I have removed the tour dates. If you strongly feel they need to be in the article, you can put a comment on this page. (Please sign any comments on this page by typing four tildes after your comment like this: ~~~~) But be sure to tell me if you've ever seen tour dates on any other WP page, because I sure haven't. pfctdayelise 10:10, 9 November 2005 (UTC)
I had seen touring info on the The Mars Volta page at some stage, so i thought it appropriate. The page when i originally added info a year or two ago had a fair POV problem, i believe that has since been resolved. I havn't cited my sources, though I probably should have, a lot of the information simply has been picked up from the many articles seen around the place. Mwhale 11:56, 13 November 2005 (UTC)
- Don't worry about it, it's not a big deal. As I said, I was pretty impressed with the anon editing that had been done. Good to see you've got an account now though! (Also, when you're ~~~~ to leave your name & timestamp, don't actually put the <nowiki> bit -- just put the 4 tildes directly. When you hit "save page" they will automagically become your name and timestamp. pfctdayelise 04:23, 13 November 2005 (UTC)
what is this "The band is currently one of the most popular bands in Australia, touring aggressively, and making a large fanbase." i saw it on karnivool as well and up until i saw the wiki article i'd never heard of them: im australian. neither cog or karnivool could be considered among australias most popular bands —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.105.46.45 (talk) 09:18, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
