- Got to declare an interest as the original author, but I have to say the accusations of vanity are sheer idiocy as I am NOT Ian Hamilton QC. Glad to see that everyone so far has said we should keep this up. Ian Hamilton is a very important figure in the history of Scottish nationalism as a participant in the reclamation/theft (delete as your political opinions direct) of the Stone of Destiny from Westminster Abbey. This is a seminal event in the nationalist movement in Scotland. Furthermore, he is one of the most eminent QCs in Scotland. Surely worthy of an article given some of the others here on Wikipedia (articles about minor fictional characters from Star Wars etc.)?
I also think RickK's claims of the article being inspired by vanity would be stronger if he didn't put up a medal he was supposedly awarded for being so great at contributing to wikipedia on his own user page! :op Big Jim Fae Scotland 11:09, 2 Apr 2004
